Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SpecForge, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.

Use License

SpecForge grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service for your internal business or personal purposes. This license does not include the right to modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the service itself.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the service. This includes attempting to reverse engineer the platform, using automated tools to scrape or overload infrastructure, or using the service for any unlawful purpose. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

Subscriptions & Billing

SpecForge offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. The available plans, their features, and their prices are those published on our pricing page. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis — monthly or annually, depending on the billing interval you choose — and renew automatically at the end of each period until canceled.

Cancellation and refunds: you may cancel your subscription at any time. Canceling stops the next automatic renewal; your paid plan remains active until the end of the current paid period (your renewal anniversary date), after which the subscription simply does not renew and your account reverts to the free tier. We do not offer refunds or pro-rated credits for partial periods — cancellation only.

Price changes: we may change subscription prices from time to time. Any price change applies to future billing periods only, and we will give you advance notice before a new price takes effect. Taxes: prices are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise; you are responsible for any taxes associated with your subscription.

Usage Analytics Consent

By accepting these Terms, you grant us permission to collect and use anonymized and pseudonymized telemetry — aggregate usage and product metrics — to operate and improve the platform. This data never includes your specification content, message content, or project data, is never used for advertising, and is never sold. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and intellectual property associated with SpecForge are owned by SpecForge or its licensors. Specifications and project data you create remain your property. By using the service, you grant SpecForge a limited license to process your data as necessary to provide the service.

Limitation of Liability

SpecForge is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. In no event shall SpecForge be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the service at any time, with or without cause, upon reasonable notice. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. You may export your data prior to termination.

Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
